Position Summary
Coordinate scheduling of crews and vendors around customer and municipality project needs. These projects range in size and complexity for a diverse customer base. Provide tracking and reporting back management and customers.
Standard Position Tasks
Position Tasks
Review project requirements, specifications, permits and drawings
Maintain relationships with Owners, Customers and General contractors
Participate in project meetings as requested to review progress and changes to scope of work
Maintain up to date AZ One Call blue stake requests and log
Obtain and prepare TCP s; update Dust Control permits and logs
Follows awarded contracts, including estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, overruns, procurement of material, etc
Maintain costs for labor, materials, equipment and sub-contractors/suppliers tracking throughout project lifecycle
Reviews cost of construction and keeps within project limits
Prepares RFI s, project submittal packages, initiate change order requests and other project correspondence
Provide accurate project revenue streams, including extra work items, change orders, credits; procurement of material, etc.
Maintains files of current and past projects as back-up for estimate figures
Communicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals
Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Confidence to communicate with all levels of the Company, customers, and government agencies as appropriate
Ability to stay Organized, accurate, and consistent while managing multiple projects
Ability to think clearly no matter the stress or difficulty of your circumstances
Ability to prioritize and multitask proactively to meet deadlines
Advanced mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages, and medians
Advanced Computer skills with expert skill in Excel is required
Ability to coordinate and supervise a group effort
Written communication skill to compose complex reports, legal documents, proposals, and business plans
Oral communication skill to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, financial reports, business plans and strategies, and legal documents
Ability to persuade others to a course of action by instructing, convincing, or influencing through professional guidance using logic and example
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Education and Experience
2 years civil construction experience in the areas of utilities, earth work, concrete structures, and general site
Four year engineering or construction management degree OR equivalent technical training and related experience
Physical and Environmental Demands
Must be able to read documents and use a computer.
Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to be mobile within an office, warehouse and construction site environment.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
