Specialty Leasing and Business Development Manager

We are currently seeking a Specialty Leasing and Business Development Manager to join our team at Westbrook Outlets. Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the strategic vision, planning and execution of a Specialty Leasing program at the shopping center, which may include retail merchandising units (RMUs), temporary kiosks, temporary in:line and pop:up shops, food concepts and in:mall activation: events, entertainment, partnerships and sponsorship.
The Specialty Leasing role goes beyond sales. Working with our property management, leasing, financial and marketing teams, the ideal candidate will use his/her marketing and sales acumen to source concepts and build strong partnerships in the community that will contribute to building a captivating retail environment and enhance the overall experience at Westbrook Outlets. Candidate will be skilled at negotiating and closing temporary revenue generating deals while maintaining and overseeing visual standards and management of program operations.

Job Responsibilities
:Oversee temporary leasing and management of the shopping centers available in:line, common area, parking and other spaces, ensuring quality control and alignment with property merchandising plan.
:Prospect new to market temporary retail, food, and activation concepts, in both common area and in:line spaces.
:Support in:line leasing efforts by assisting in identifying, developing local tenants into potential permanent tenants.
:Identify and develop new leasable locations in the common area.
:Network with area leasing representatives, industry associates and community
:Initiate and negotiate temporary revenue generating deals to enhance the shopping centers services, experience and marketing strategies.
:Submit retailer/tenant information, terms, locations and use clause for approval; coordinate completion of lease agreements, short:term leasing program administration and tenant set:up.
:Serve as main on:site point of contact for all on:site short:term leasing/activation; manage ongoing retailer/tenant relationships.
merchandising/visual display implementation with retailers/tenants.
:Oversee and approve all event logistics and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
:Create and maintain a full common area plan and calendar. Update and distribute to team as needed.
:Work in partnership with the marketing team to ensure coordination of promotional messaging to support specialty leasing and activation efforts to drive traffic to the shopping center.
:Create and distribute short:term leasing/activation recaps, client surveys, reports, budgets and forecasting.
:Oversee all other administrative functions related to Specialty Leasing.

Minimum Requirements and Skills
:B.S. degree in a business related discipline.
:Minimum 5 years leasing (or equivalent sales) experience; prior management, event or retail experience
:Knowledge of the operations of a shopping center including conformance to budget standards and the day:to:day operation of maintenance, security and housekeeping functions preferred.
:Understanding of Specialty Leasing preferred but not required.
:Clear communication skills and ability to enlist teamwork.
:Excellent ability to initiate and develop relationships with co:workers and clients from various backgrounds.
:Self:motivated and able to work independently with no supervision to generate new sales and revenue strategies.
:Capable of performing multiple tasks, meeting tight deadlines and shifting priorities, as needed.
:Must be able to inspect the property on a daily basis.
:Goal oriented and self:motivated.
:Knowledge of basic accounting principals.
:Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
:Real Estate License (preferred but not required).
