Job Summary:
SENIOR DIRECTOR OF NUTRITION AND WELLNESS. This position can reside anywhere within the Continental USA within commuting distance to an airport.
We are seeking a dynamic individual for a Senior Director of Nutrition and Wellness opportunity to provide leadership and direction for Nutrition and Wellness Services to advance and promote business development through innovative nutrition care and resources, regulatory standard management, and new product development.
The Senior Director will be responsible for the strategic and tactical planning to integrate Nutrition and Wellness Services within the Morrison Community Living division and Compass Group corporate, in the areas of Culinary, Human Resources, Business Development, Marketing, and Finance. The Senior Director will supervise all members of the Nutrition and Wellness Services Team including but not limited to: Director of Clinical Support, Director Wellness, Senior Regional Nutrition Care Managers, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides leadership for Nutrition and Wellness professionals in the areas of:
+ Nutrition care services including regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, cultural transformation and wellness initiatives.
+ Clinical program and resource services including educational, best practice sharing, training, practitioner resources, nutrition and wellness marketing, specialty expertise development.
+ Wellness services including wellness for residents as well as preventive wellness for employees.
Responsible for strategic planning of:
+ Nutrition and wellness program development to meet the demands of business strategies, cultural transformation, and regulatory compliance.
+ Future evolution and advancement of the role of nutrition and wellness in our core business and the communities served by leveraging professional networks and company resources.
+ Development of new products and approaches to menu development, nutrition care, and business growth opportunities.
+ Non-traditional approach to health care that uses latest technology and research to provide innovation to clinical and wellness services.
+ Strategic interaction and employment of relationships with:
+ Vendors to further nutrition goals and services.
+ Culture Change organizations including pursuit of strategically related partner opportunities.
Responsible for tactical planning for:
+ Integration of all nutrition and wellness services to maximize organizational efficiencies and effectiveness.
+ Effective execution of clinical services provided to field business facilities through nutrition and wellness teams.
+ Value added nutrition and wellness services and programs to our marketplace.
Acts as Nutrition liaison to:
+ Clients as needed.
+ Sales process as needed.
+ Professional nutrition and wellness organizations.
+ Compass Corporate for nutrition and wellness.
+ Distance Learning program.
Compliance expectations:
+ Completes all required documentation and reports in a timely, professional and thorough manner.
+ Develops and analyzes budget data utilizing the established goals and objectives for the department.
+ Communicates effectively with all team members, clients and customers. This includes telephone, written, and electronic communication.
+ Participates and attends company and client meetings, staff development, and professional programs, as appropriate.
+ Reads and complies with all policies and procedures of Morrison and Compass as appropriate.
+ Follows client facility, Morrison and Compass safety policies and procedures to include incident reporting.
+ Projects and practices consistent ownership attributes, which provide a high level of customer service at all points of contact.
+ Performs other tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Registered Dietitian in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
+ Master s degree in business or nutrition preferred.
+ Experience leading a business or nutrition service at a corporate level.
+ Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an operational leadership position.
+ Experience in a corporate level leadership position in a business, food service industry or nutrition field.
+ Experience in executing strategic Nutrition and Wellness programs and strategies which enhanced business growth with proven results.
+ Experience with regulatory standard compliance in healthcare and long term care and senior living, preferred.
+ Hands on experience with process improvement methodologies, project management, and change management.
+ Strong negotiation, communication, and analysis skills.
+ Experience in the development and implementation of Corporate wellness initiatives.
+ Strong interpersonal, influencing, and team skills.
+ Ability to travel throughout the US required (70%).
