Role: Financial Systems Manager Location: Shelton, CT Job Type: Full Time Interview: In person Job Description The Financial Systems Manager position in the finance department is responsible for working with the Finance and IT teams to implement, support, and administer Financial System applications. This position serves as Finance/IT organization’s subject matter expert regarding the use, implementation, and maintenance of the financial systems. The two primary financial systems in use are Microsoft Dynamics AX and Calumo Reporting & Budgeting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES These include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manage Financial systems from business requirements to implementation, use, and administration. These financial systems currently include Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and Calumo Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on the financial systems. Make value added suggestions and recommendations to business and technical customers based on analysis of system applications. Prepare and execute test scripts; assist with user acceptance tests for AX and third party integrated solutions Design, develop, and maintain reports, ETL, and data cubes for Calumo software. Provide support for the users of Microsoft AX and Calumo. Create and maintain application and other IT documentation, manuals and procedures. Collaborate with developers, network engineers, system engineers, internal customers, and financial applications senior manager and assist in the software development release cycle. Desired Skills & Experience REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting 8+ years’ experience in accounting or auditing and implementing and using financial modules of Microsoft Dynamics AX Specialized Skills: 3+ years of accounting experience as an auditor or in a corporate accounting department 3+ years of Microsoft Dynamics AX financial modules experience, some of which is with AX 2009, required. Experience with a financial reporting product is required. Strong knowledge of business processes and user functionality of general ledger, banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and projects. Experience with querying Microsoft SQL Server databases and providing basic database administration functions. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Analysis Services in designing and building data cubes or using a product that accesses data cubes is a plus.
