JOB SUMMARY: Post University is seeking an energetic, dynamic leader for the position of Director of Assessment. We seek a person who will bring enthusiasm, systems thinking, deep knowledge of academic excellence through quality assessment, and a quality-focused approach to a growing University. The Director of Assessment (DoA) will be responsible for working with many areas of the institution to enhance and maintain a system to support the compilation, analysis, and reporting of student learning outcomes student feedback, and academic performance across the University. Assessment data compiled and analyzed will be reported across the institution to drive improvements in course content and delivery as well as programmatic and institutional performance. The Director will enhance and maintain this comprehensive assessment process and will report to the Provost. Key Responsibilities: Review and enhance a comprehensive assessment process including selection of quality assessments, implementation of assessments, analysis of results, and timely distribution of faculty, programmatic and institutional feedback. Provide consultation on effective academic program and course assessment practices to faculty, including viable assessment plans related to student learning outcomes and effective rubrics. Provide guidance to the Outcomes Committee along with the University Senate and Deans related to the Outcomes Assessment process implementation and integration with Blackboard/online learning.This should include a fresh look at the Student Learning Outcomes process from start to completion, and revisions as necessary. Assist Information Technology (IT) and Instructional Design (ID) with integration of the outcomes assessment process into the Blackboard LMS. Coordinate and assist with the preparation of all necessary assessment material for Regional (NEASC) State (OHE) and National (USDE, ACBSP, CCNE, NAEYC,etc.) accrediting and governmental agencies. Systematize assessment processes and automate the dissemination of data and their analysis to internal constituencies with the implementation of Blackboard Analytics and the new ERP system. Provide Program Chairs (PC's)/faculty, Deans and the Leadership Team with data and documentation to support the University's program review and assessment process. Provide training for assessment implementation, use and relevancy as well as interpretation for PC's. Work with University Deans to develop annual assessment plans for all Schools and support units within Academic Affairs; coordinating the collection of assessment data and producing reports required for internal decision making, planning and improvement. Collaborate with internal University community to meet program and department data needs related to student assessments. Support student learning outcomes assessment, including facilitating the data collection, analysis, and reporting of demonstrated outcomes. Work with the Deans Council, and work collaboratively across the University with the other Directors and all departments. Actively work with the Accelerated Degree Program department to provide harmony and alignment of purpose for the online students, particularly enhancing the student experience with quality assessments. Continue to enhance the dynamic team environment & culture within the University by contributing a comprehensive quality assessment system. Assist with the University Strategic Plan, related to the Program review process, all assessments and relevant trends for constant improvement. Other duties as assigned by the Provost.This position will report to the Provost or her designee. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Master's degree minimum in a related field from a regionally accredited Institution of Higher Education. Excellent written and verbal communications, and interpersonal skills The ability to work in a team environment, across all Schools, Divisions, and Departments. Demonstrated ability in higher education assessment, including student learning outcomes assessments. Experience with survey design, data analysis, data interpretation. Experience with assessment information management systems, and Blackboard LMS. Experience teaching at the University level Familiarity with Regional and National, and Association accreditation bodies.
