Job Description:/h3:
Job Purpose:
Serves as integral part of Sales and Marketing Team by understanding, interpreting, and supporting technical information and disseminating this information to the J.R. Merritt staff and its customers.
Responsibilities:
:Provide technical sales and application support for the J.R. Merritt product range to customers and field sales team
:Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e:mail inquiries; verifying and entering information
:Facilitate inbound calls direct from customers, or transferred from Customer Service, Tech Sales, or other JRM functional teams, to identify new opportunities and convert Sales leads to closures.
:Work effectively with others in a team based environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
:Collaborate with Field Sales, technical support, and inside sales teams, when appropriate to progress opportunities and close business
:Key inside support contact to the Business Development Manager
:Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and preparing quotations
:Develops leads by following up on various inquiries; verifying and entering information into CRM application, sets meetings and closes business over the phone
:Process quotations from customer supplied specifications and drawings and provide continuous follow up throughout the completion of the customers purchasing cycle for International opportunities and territories not assigned to a District Sales Manager
:Serve as vacation backup for outside sales team
:Prepare repeat quotations, EQCRs, ECRs and E:Quote revisions in support of outside sales
:Handle customer complaints with a positive result.
:Work with Marketing to develop technical and sales support materials, including but not limited to printed materials, PowerPoint presentations, video/web based training aids, etc.
:Assist in technical training of JRM staff and Sales Partners
:Facilitate new product introductions into new and established markets
:Prepare and maintain competitor analysis by summarizing competitor information and trends
:Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
:High School graduate or equivalent.
:Technical sales experience preferred.
