Corporate Controller for High End Manufacturer in New Haven County! About the Company Our client located in New Haven County, is an innovative manufacturing company experienced in high profile projects across the country, including the Jefferson Memorial and The White House to name a few! Our client has partnered with CFS to identify a Corporate Controller to join their team! The ideal candidate will have their CPA, 10-15 years experience, a strong work ethic and great interpersonal/leadership skills. This self-directed and experienced Controller will oversee all financial, accounting, human resources and facility activities, with 4 direct reports. They will also be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting. Key areas within the human resources and facilities departments will be managed by the Controller, including policy and procedure compliance. Primary Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller Controlling all financial transactions as they relate to general accounting, accounts receivable, credit, payroll and accounts payable Supervision of the monthly close process and preparation of the financial statements including commentary and financial analysis Administration of the Company's 401k and Profit Sharing plans Compliance with outside reporting requirements, including, but not limited to sales tax returns, 1099's, 5500's, SAM registration, EEOC reporting, and other regulatory matters Prepare annual Affirmative Action Plan Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations Supervision and development of staff in the finance, human resources, and facilities departments Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers during annual audit and state and federal tax return preparation Cash flow analysis and banking relationships Preparation of Annual Budgets Development of Incentive plans Participation in and development of strategies for Union Negotiations Establish credit lines for customers Maintain relationships with insurance broker and procure all health and business insurance Maintain active certification as a "Woman Owned Business" Working closely with all disciplines and serving a business partner Enhancing and implementing policies and procedures that identify and resolve accounting issues and ensure appropriate level of internal controls Maintain books and records for an affiliated company Other assignments from CEO as they may occur Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting CPA required; MBA preferred Prior Controllership in a manufacturing environment Approximately 15 years' related experience Detailed oriented and strategic thinker Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of ERP systems Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of roles and assignments
